St. Lawrence Seaway enters peak season with shipments up 4%

Ottawa, Ontario — The upward trend of the 2018 St. Lawrence Seaway shipping season continues, driven by Canadian grain exports and improving salt shipments.

Overall tonnage for the period March 29 to September 30 totaled 25.7 million tonnes, up 4.1 per cent when compared to 2017.
