OTTAWA, CANADA – As the 2017 shipping season heads into the final weeks, St. Lawrence Seaway cargo volumes are expected to top 2016 in a year marked by economic recovery and new business wins. Total cargo tonnage from March 20 through November 30 reached 33.6 million metric tons, up 8.5 percent compared to the same time period in 2016.
